Friday Night Mendota Lights

I took a trip to Lake Mendota last Friday evening. I had to be to work early so I was done around 2:30, Boo was spending the night at her grandparents, so everything worked out well. By lunch time I was overly excited to get out, and the time was crawling by. I launched about 4:00ish, head out for some weedlines and threw Rapala DT-10's in Perch for about an hour. I found some docks and threw YUM dingers for about 45 minutes. I then decided to head towards Maple Bluff and switched back to the DT-10. After about 30 more minutes, and still no bites, I changed the Perch to a Parrot. Within 10 minutes I had a 14" smallie. I moved by the UW life saving station, and continued with the Parrot. I got another really nice smallie that went 17+ and was around 3lbs, kinda wished I'd had a partner with me so I could get a decent Pic. I did get a pick of her on the ruler, but it's on my disposable. One day, I will use all film on that disposable and I will have a plethora of pictures to post, including my ginormous catfish. Turned into a really nice evening by dusk. I have all of next week off and plan to fish until I can't cast anymore. Wish me Luck. Until then Tight lines!!!!!
