Fishing Week Comes to an End

First off, I need to apologize because I do not have any photos at the moment, and probably won't for a long time. I got a couple pics on my disposable that I keep in the boat, but it's ways from needing development so it will probably be awhile before I have any pics. Regardless here is the report for the week.

Monday: Lake Mendota
6 LM Bass and 1 Northern. The Northern was about 23”, Bass were 18.5”, 17, 16.5, 16, and a couple dinks. Mostly off docks pitching a weightless dinger or Chatterbait, one on a DT-10. Monday was probably the nicest day weather wise, and really my best day fishing, the 18.5" bass was my first confirmelegalal bass on Mendota. I say confirmed because it's the first big one I've been able to measure.

Tuesday: Had a Daddy/Daughter day. We went to the Social Science building to visit some old friends. Then we headed over to Foxy's work for lunch. I topped the day off by mowing the lawn while Boo was sleeping.
Wednesdayay: Lake Monona
4 Bass 18, 16, 16, 14 and one Muskie 25” All came on a chatterbait pitched around docks. The weather was pretty shotty, I mostly hung in/around Squaw Bay. I got the Muskie under a willow tree. This was the first Muskie of any size that I have ever caught. The 18" bass was pretty sweet, it took the chatterbait off of a rock out of the water.

Thursday: Lake Mendota
4 LM Bass 17" 17" 16" 14" , One 12" Smallie, and 2 Northern 35" & 20". Fish came on Chatterbaits and Weightless t-rigged Yum dingers. The weather was really nice on Thursday, low winds made Mendota a good choice. The 35" Northern was my first fish of the day, my biggest Northern to date, I got it on a chatterbait in the inlet by Mendota County park, it was cool because some little kids got to see all the action. I had one of their dads get a picture for me with the disposable.

Friday: Lake Monona
SKUNKED. My brother Chris came down for the day, he picked up a 14" LM bass on a spinnerbait. That was the only fish we caught all day. The wind was out of the south and pretty stiff, the temp was pretty cool. I had a hit on a spinnerbait, but the fish grabbed it sideways and when I set the hook he came off, saw the whole thing.

I had a pretty nice week, even the skunking wasn't terrible, hey a bad day fishing is still better than a good day at work. The weather was awesome and it was nice to get some rest and relaxation. I am hoping to be able to get out a couple more times before I have to put the boat away for the season, but if I end up having to end the season on last week I'll take it. Daddy/Daughter day was a nice break from fishin and we had a good time, I'm glad Foxy suggested it. I am almost half tempted to just devlope my disposable, maybe I can find something to take some pictures of.
